Design

The coat of arms is researched from heraldic records associated with your surname and recreated as a full relief wood carving. The design includes the heraldic shield, scrollwork on both sides, a knight helmet above and your surname carved in gothic lettering on the banner at the bottom. It is a genuine representation of your family name rendered in wood — not a generic decoration.

We use established heraldic archives and genealogical records to find the coat of arms most commonly associated with your surname. Coats of arms were historically granted to individuals so variations can exist between families sharing the same name. We always select the most well documented version available and will let you know if any questions come up during the process.

Just enter your surname at checkout — we take care of the research and design from there. Your name will be carved in gothic lettering on the banner exactly as you submit it so please double check the spelling before ordering. Each piece is made specifically for your surname and cannot be changed once carving begins.

Can I send you my own coat of arms?

Absolutely. We will cross-reference it with heraldic records. If you want the exact design you provide, we can reproduce it faithfully.

I don’t know much about my family history. Can I still buy?

Yes — you don’t need to know your full history. Our team will research and prepare everything for you, using heraldic sources and registries.

What size are the framed coats of arms?

Our standard framed design is 16 x 20 inches — a striking display piece for home or office.

Do you offer discounts for packages?

Are coats of arms the same as family crests?

Not exactly. The crest is just one element (the symbol above the helmet), while the coat of arms refers to the full design — shield, crest, supporters, and motto.
